Why local cremation habits matter for your bird
With about 55.2%[1] of people cremated in Maryland, cremation is now the majority choice but not the only one people expect, and relatives may have strong views either way. There's no special licence or form for cremating one pet bird in Maryland. What you do need to think about is the land: whose it is, what's under it and who might dig there later. And if birds have been dying without explanation, the first rule is to let a vet decide what happens next.

Howard County summers are sticky, July highs reaching 89F, while January nights fall to roughly 25F. From June through September, a body needs cooling within a couple of hours: a tiled bathroom with the vent fan on, a towel beneath, frozen packs alongside. In the depth of winter an unheated garage works for a night, although a mild spell can end that quickly.
